There is a "Pause Preview" button with a lock icon in the top tool-bar of Directory List. You can check this button to pause preview and double click to open the documents by system default program. If this can't solve the Xchange-Viewer issue, please let me know.

Vole allows to work with a wide range of assets and thus is a great desktop help and would be a great presentation help aswell, if only the conten of the media-player could be directed to a second monitor / beamer (in my case via autoplay not...

You may double click "Documents Previewer" title bar to separate or withdraw the media player window. When the media player window is separated, you may move it to the second monitor or a beamer.
